Waiting at the monument is about a time honoured tradition amongst the folk of Newcastle. First we see the base of Grey’s Monument a marker since the 1830’s acting as beacon to all who know it. Next we have a figure who is potentially arranging to meet friends or lover at the monument. He’s looking and waiting whilst everyone else is hurrying on their way. The last element and a new and sadly fleeting edition to the waiting game is the mobike, waiting for its next ride and keeping the figure company whilst time moves on
