This view is special to me as it is the first painting I produced after many years of not doing anything. Having visited Dunstanburgh Castle with my family I was taken in by the  view of the cliffs creating a natural barrier for the castle to sit on. The sweeping line of the cliff and the rocks strewn in the foreground shows natures strength whilst the crumbling castle is defeated by the elements.
